“ We booked a table for an evening meal prior to going to The Cliffs Pavilion. We had received our drinks and placed our food order. Surat Mario, the manager, told us that the food hygiene Inspector from the council was in attendance and that no food could be cooked whilst he was doing his checks, and he could be a while. (I was later informed that everything went well with the inspection and the scored a 5). We explained that we couldn’t wait because of the show at The Cliffs Pavilion. He couldn’t apologise enough and gave us a complimentary bottle of wine and didn’t charge us for the drinks we’d had. Nice touch. After the show we thought we’d pop in to see if it was too late or not to have a starters. Although the kitchen had just closed he arranged for the chef to make us the starters of our choice and also brought out a cannelloni. The food was delicious and we cannot speak highly enough of the service offered to us by Surat (and the chef!!!!!). They really looked after us and we will definitely be back. ”
